Global

• Aaron Strongbow (Bill McCamley) is running for Congress.
• Teth and Grumish of Five Oaks, Rising Winds released screen shots of the amtgard based game they are working on called "Splinters of Heartwood". There is a yahoo group for those interested.
• Joining the ranks of the many other published amtgard authors Chaos Ruine's book "THE TRIALS OF CHAOS" has been released.
• As of this posting 11 new chapters have been founded or reopened in 2008.

Burning Lands

Emerald Hills

• Continues to prepare for their Upcoming 20th birthday bash.

Celestial Kingdom

• Itsari posted photos of Mystic Springs participation in Chimaeracon 2008.
• Sir Crinos has declared for Monarch in the upcoming election, Alara the Drake is up for Regent and Rand and Sponge are attempting Champion. Final intents have been accepted.

Golden Plains

• Moonshadow announces that GP will celebrate their Kingdom midreign at Clan 25.

Iron Mountains

• Rivermoor is chosen as the new name for the central Iron Mountains Principality. They also chose to include the offices of GMR and Champion in their Principality Corpora.
• The Chapter of North Haven is reported to have left the Kingdom of the Iron Mountains.
• The River's End in Salt Lake City, UT discusses weather or not it will be mandatory to wear garb at their fighter practices.
• The western Washington Principality of Northern Lights will hold a Circle of Monarchs meeting to discuss thing occurring during the upcoming reign.
• The Duchy of Olympus will be holding their 2nd Annual Ironman Tournament at Lower City Park in Iowa City, Iowa on Saturday March 15th. RSVP's and questions should be sent to Skrag [1].
• Kayden announces that Amtgard has been invited back to Starfest, a convention to be held in Denver, Colorado on April 18-20. The staff are looking for Volunteers for a demo.

Dragonspine

• Emer Rustytongue and Dougie have declared for Kingdom Monarch.
• Dragonspine proper in Los Cruses, New Mexico has decided to give fighter practices another go. They will be holding this on Thursdays at Apodaca Park at 7pm.
• Anatole Stroke has declared war on all monsters living in and around Dragonspine, or as Duke Stroke calls, it "Anatolia". He has done this with the backing of King Randall.

Goldenvale

• The Duchy of Bitter Coast, and the Shire of Dragon Cross have begun looking into the possibility of having a joint Coronation event.
• Caradoc Hold's Midreign Celebration is held March 15th, field at Nazareth College Rochester, NY, at 1:00PM
• The new Kingdom Monarchy announces their goals for the up coming reign. They will hold an althing to discuss them and changes to their corpora.
• The Barony of the Sea of Rhye Proudly announces their first large event, The Underdark June 27th - June 29 to occur at Nike-Carrollton Park, Smithfield VA. This will be a role play event based on 2 teams, The Drow and The Sea of Rhye. The Drow are invading the Sea of Rhye with mysterious unknown purpose. Still, their conquest is relentless and it seems nothing can stop their forces.

Wetlands

• In and Unprecedented turn of events the Wetlands will hold their coronation with the CK at Firemen's Park in Giddings Texas. Intents for Monarchy are Margul and Plague for Monarch and Ozymandius for Regent.
• The barony of UTopis, thought to be inactive, will hold their midreing on the 15th at Four Mile Park.

Neverwinter

• Noflow announces that the Shire of Nowhere Mountains in Athens, WV is now officially petitioning the Principality of Winters Edge.

Rising Winds

• The Dutchy of Gryphon's Perch has declared war on the Barony of Dragon's Tail! We call for Allies to stand with us on the field of battle at the Barony of Dragon's Tail on the 12 of April around noon. All those brave enough to stand with us, contact Corranna Yngling, and together we will crush our foes!
• Phoenix Tears in Springfield, IL is sending a group to of at least eight to visit it's sister chapter Cursed Prairie in East Peoria, IL.
• Western Gate Quals Scores are in dispute.
• Madoc's Keep in Louisville, KY will hold their Qualifications Tourney.
• Dragon's Tale hopefully will hold a feast. Their last meeting was canceled due to weather. They will be at Leaverton Park in Palestine again.
• The East Peoria chapter Cursed Prairie has created their own Forums.

Blackspire

• Pacwar planning begins in earnest, headed by Shorty.

Crystal Groves

• Feast of the Dead, and the regent Rentell continue to be embroiled in arguments with the list at large.

Freehold

• Veles Harbour in Yorktown, Virginia will hold an open house for all comers with free food.
• Panther's Claw reopens in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
• Falcon Tor in Columbia MO is having trouble playing at their park. They have been removed more than once by a park ranger, now they have completed their "Special Use Permit" for the City, and have a meeting scheduled Moday (3/17) to plead their case.

Global

• Olympiad resolves with Margul coming in as Grand Olympian, GoldCrest as Cultural Olympian, and Tar'get as War Olympian.
• Gary Gygax has passed on into the 7 heavens at level 69.

• Logan T. Black of the Emerald Hills receives his final belt in the order of the flame and becomes the 12th person in the history of Amtgard to have received all four orders.
• In Memphis, TN Soul's Crossing an incipient shire of the Emerald Hills will hold their first large event. It will be a role playing camp out called the Elf Orc Wars. Unfortunately canceled due to weather.
• Emerald Hills Holds a Kingdom Allthing,
• Echos of the Hills the Emerald Hills Newsletter for March 08 is Released.
• Banner Wars 2008 bid is awarded to Meggiddo and Michael of the Wetlands and Iron Mountains respectively. Kaiser Morgan said that he chose to award the big to out landers because he received no bids from inside the kingdom.

Celestial Kingdom

• Istari posts photos of his trip to Slaughter Creek, and the park day at Mystic Springs.

Golden Plains

• In the last few weeks there have been several discussions on how to improve feelings about the kingdom on GP's Forums.
• Held a 10,000BC Demo organized by Kamal at 6PM on Friday at the UA. About 11 people attended despite the fact that it was held on GP's Coronation weekend.
• GP Coronation Held at Camp Don Harrington, the price is 10$ a person. 225 attendees!

Iron Mountains

• Ceowulf posts photos of normal River's End day.
• Grendel, Kingdom Champion of IM releases his March fighting theme tips. Feints & Baits part 1, Feints & Baits part 2, Feints & Baits part 3
• Rehlyimah and Knives of Ivory Tower are welcomed back to the park after the conclusion of their six month ban.
• The list pimp for Salt War VI, Loptr leaves no Yahoo Group unturned in his attempt to get out the word on this year's event. Salt Wars will be held May 15th -18th at Castle Park in Provo, Utah. Prepay before May 10th and get five dollars off the 25$ gate fee.

Dragonspine

• Dragonspine has returned home from their annual victory against their out laying lands. Lost Souls, Santa Fe, New Mexico; Thundering Mountain, Socorro, New Mexico; and Alucard's Guardman of Tempe, Arizona; all rose against their king this year, but were ultimately stamped down.
• On Monday March 9 at 7:00PM a BoD Meeting willin have been held at Palas's home.
• An Alternate BoD seat has come up empty.

Goldenvale

• In Nitro West, Virginia Blackrock Hills will held their 1st Gladiatorial combat expedition.
• Dragon Cross will be holding their Coronation, with a pot luck feast to follow.
• Goldenvale Coronation is on the 8th. Akrith will be taking up the role of Monarch, Esselia was chosen as Regent, and Bowen is the incoming Champion.
• Syr Sanchez receives his second belt, this one in the order of the Crown.

Wetlands

• A Kingdom Althing was held. Charles White (Stryker) has been showing back up to Amtgard in CM in direct violation of the BOD's ban/directive. There was much discussion, some of it on topic, much of it not, and a few heated words snuck in just to say 'hi, we're here'. The monarch and the prime minister asked for it to be tabled as it is a BOD issue and not an althing issue. Motion passed.
• Ironwood, a chapter of the wetlands in Conroe, Texas will hold a Arts and Sciences competition.

Neverwinter

• Mystic Caverns a chapter of Neverwinter under Winter's Edge located in Glasgow, KY has canceled their regular fighter practice due to inclement weather.

Rising Winds

• The results are in for the new Monarchy of Phoenix Tears, Duke: Kindyr, Regent: Setsuko, Champion: Oaces,
• Corrana of recent Amt advertisement fame has compiled a list of all the chapters that are active with in a 3 hour drive so that her park Gryphon's Perch can start raiding in earnest; Everfield 1 Richmond, Indiana; High Rain 1.5, ?????; Freeman's Forest 1.5, Huber heights, Ohio; Satyrs Crossing 2, Huntington, Indiana; Valley of the Twin Rivers 2, Springfield, Ohio; Hyborea 2, Danville, Illinois; Maddoc's Keep 2 Saturdays, Louisville, KY; Obsidian Hills 2 Saturdays, Cincinnati, Ohio; Dragons Tale 2.5 Saturdays Robinson, Illinois; Five Oaks 2.5, Vine Grove, Kentucky; Port of Winters Night 2.5, Valparaiso Indiana; Mithril Keep 2.5 Cincinnati, Ohio.
• Frostlands in Oshkosh, Wisconson is organizing under it's new Duke Zebidark are focusing outward, planning to raid the near by chapter of Mists of the Dawn. On Friday the 7th a reporter from Good Morning Wisconsin, will shoot footage of the Frost landers for her morning show, which is listed in inthe media coverage section. They were also recently featured in their local paper. Frostlanders will also be volunteering at local haunted house and sending two members to a grade school "Medieval Feast". (These guys are really busy!)
• Western Gate will hold a demo for the movie 10,000 B.C. at their local theater from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the 7th.
• The Robinson, Illinois chapter of the Rising Winds, Dragon's Tale cancels their regular game day due to a snow storm.
• Cursed Prairie in East Peoria, IL will hold their Qualifications at Fondulac Farm Park. Sign-In starts at noon. The competitions will begin anywhere between 1 and 1:30.

Blackspire

• Blackspire will hold it's Kingdom coronation at McClellend Art Center in Longview, WA. This will be King Darrian's Second consecutive reign. Fodder BS's perma Prime Minister amazingly had entered all awards and credits from the event before dawn on following Sunday. King Darrian the 2nd issued a challenge in Court to all of the lands of Blackspire. Each land is tasked to create one attendance drive style function.
• Sir Tseng receives his second belt, in the order of the crown.

Crystal Groves

• The Crystal Groves list continues to boil with arguments for and against having an SCA household run their Feast at Feast of Fools to the tune of 1500$. They will also hold their monthly company battle on Sunday.

Freehold

• A freehold in Buffalo, New York called Twin Moons will hold it's Midreign Celebration.
• Shattered Lands in Alexandria, Virginia announces it's opening weekend.

February February 20th - 27th

• Jaden steps down as Prime Minister of the Freehold of Five Banners. Malran Singollo is elected to fill this vacancy.Malran Singollo wins pun tourney held by Freehold of Five Banners to become its first-ever PunMaster of Winter.
• Annilia begins organizing a bid for SKBC 2009, so that it might be held in the Rising Winds.
• The Baron of Blackrock Hills, a chapter of Goldnevale in Nitro, West Virginia, steps out of office for mundane reasons.
• Drandmir coronation at McKinney Falls state park in South Austin, Texas.
• The results of the Blackspire Kingdom election are released with Gameface in as Regent, Adbul as Champion. Darrian, running unopposed, takes his second consecutive term as monarch.
• Woodhaven Keep in Rochester Hills, Michigan is granted Freehold Status. Congratulations!
• Forgotten Wood in Brooksville, Florida is granted Freehold status. Congratulations!
• Members of the Principality of Desert Winds push onward to Kingdom status, putting out the call on their lists for everyone to meet at River's End with a caveat to the Nevada folks that they will be driving through an area recently hit by an 6.0 earthquake. Be safe on the roads guys!
• Margax Silvermoon of Emerald Winds Winter's Edge will be making custom weapons by request for park members.
• Riverstone, Storm Grove, and Five Banners; Chapters in Oklahoma and Arkansas talk about the possibility of someday growing into a kingdom of their own. They begin to organize "3-Shire meetings" on the third weekend of the month.
• On Wednesday a story and photo essay on a local amtgard chapter, Stormwall will appear on the Houston Press website.
• Dragon's Tale in Robinson, IL was to raided by a chunk of visitors coming from Western Gate but most of the raid was canceled due to weather.
• Squire Trianna Allensworth is revealed as the Emerald Hills newest Kingdom Prime Minister Elect. She will taking up the reigns from the former PM Dreanya Jurista at Triple Mid.
• The Principality of Winter's Edge recently under new leadership discusses the possibility of starting up a jugging league.
• The duchy of Astral Winds has devised a new bonus for their populace retaining dues paid status. Free astral winds.net email addresses.
• Ladyhawk Longwing releases pictures of Kaiser Silvertip's visit to his chapter of Stormwall.
• Querna Tema in Omaha Nebraska holds their local Sword of Flame Quest.
• The Wetlands mourns the passing of Talyn's pet penguin Mr. FancyPants who was found dead after Feral's house warming party.
• Mystik Caverns takes a road trip to visit their Sister park under Winter's Edge Mystic Glade.
• The Kingdom of Blackspire will hold Kingdom Elections, Champions Tourney, Guildmaster Elections, and an Althing for Mystic Seas at Gabriel Park, in Portland, OR.
• In Kansas City, KS the Shire of Centerpoint will be holding their Midreign. Festivities include a slave auction Warskill and A&S Tourney.

February 16th -17th 2008

• Congratulations to Trail's End on receiving their contract from the BLBoD!
• Sylvanista the newest Prime Minister of the Celestial Kingdom Braves the wilds of Killeen, Tx to visit her charge chapter, Murky Waters.
• The results for the Northern Lights Crown Tourney are posted; Cyric takes 1st, Damian only one point behind takes 2nd. A gulf later there is a four way tie for third between; Odin, Kubla, Zandar, Alexi.
• Llanus Dayowar chooses to step down as sheriff of Mystik Caverns due to poor attendance. He nominates his Regent Bone to take his place.
• A Chapter under Dragonspine, the Astral Winds in Fairbanks, Alaska releases their plans for the up coming reign, witch includes a civil war between factions of each noble; Duke Murdoc, Baron Gorin, Baroness Astrianna, Lady Leila. And map to take control of.

• Pre registration for this year's SKBC is made available.
• Wetlands Barony of Ironwood is doing some serious spring cleaning on it's records in the wetlands attendance tracker.
• Loptr steps into the role of Protem Champion of the Desert Winds following Akin's departure from the post for mundane reasons.
• To integrate all of the awards in their kingdom the Emerald Hills has converted all of their Crimsons to Roses for Valentine's Day.
• Katzu drops out of the running for monarch of the Rising Winds.
• The Kingdom of Dragonspine in Las Cruces, NM holds Jugging on Saturday.
• Wisp Nemoralis has created a "Cross over" Mailing list. For players who seek to cross game to Belegarth and Dagorhir as a unit.
• New Monarchy in the Principality of Winter's Edge are calling for bids for the upcoming reigns events. Results of the election are announced with Baron Andrew MacAulay and Bunch taking the reigns of the principality.
• The Freehold of Five Banners in Tulsa, OK decides to allow alternate classes to be played during normal battle games.
• Results for the Election of officers in the as yet unnamed central IM principality are in. Savaen and Teleri are accepted with no nay votes as Princess and Regent respectively. This week they will be adding people to the mailing list for thier Corpora committee, and deciding what officers to include.
• Kindyr Penumbra declared his intention for the office of Duke of the Springfield, IL chapter Phoenix Tears.
• On the 16th Querna Tema in Omaha, Nebraska will hold "Goblin King Day Three". A day of quests and revels mostly in the guise of monsters.
• Gehenna Plains; a chapter of the Iron Mountains located in Sioux City, IA, will hold a 'pirate' Quest.
• Western Gate holds a Jugging Tourney and Quest.
• EH Prime Minister Elections/Weapon Master held on the 16th at Midnight Sun and on the 17th at Finders Keep.
• The Wetlands Monarchy visits their new chapter Cairn Garneth party at Feral's to follow.
• Mists of the Dawn a chapter under Iron Mountains is holding it's local Midreign at North Park in Lakeville, MN.
• Desert Winds held their Principality Dragonmaster in conjunction with Rivers End Crown Quals at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. Weapon Master has been moved to next week so that more people can compete. Results of the tourney are released to the DW Yahoo Group. Westerric, Mirrim, and Celestine take the top three rankings.
• Winter's Edge holds it's coronation at Radiant Valley in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
• The Springfield, Illinois chapter of the Rising Winds, Phoenix Tears will hold their Qualifications, including a warskills tourney.
• The Ivory Tower a chapter under the Iron Mountains will be holding it's quest for Hemdale's Horn, as well as Neko's Birthday Bash.

February 9th and 10th 2008

• Akin steps down from the office of champion of the principality of the Desert Winds.
• CK Dragonmaster results are released with Sir GoldCrest of the Astral Winds topping the bill.
• Kingdom Crown Quals and Warmaster tournament for Blackspire are at Leverich Park in Vacouver, WA Auotcrated by Tseng. Darrian Declares his intent to run for a second term as Monarch. Results of the Blackspire Quals are released. Darrian de Craymore and Gameface have qualified and are running unopposed for the offices of Monarch and Prince respectively. Darrian was the arts and sciences champion. Maurice placed first in the Warmaster's tourney with Silverlock and Shyden trailing in Second and Third.
• Kingdom Quals, a two day event is held at Memorial Park in Amarillo TX, in the Golden Plains autocrated by Colin. Moonshadow has declared for Monarch Nevon for Regent and Arklon for Champion. There will also be an Althing held to determine whether the next monarch will be chosen by election or tournament.
• Ravenwing in Brantford, ON will hold an althing to work on their Corpora.
• The Throw in the Snow 5: Live or Die!; or “Tits” as it is affectionately called is held at Camp Hitaga in Walker, Iowa by the Duchy of Olympus
• A Reporter for the Oshkosh newspaper visited the Frostlands with a professional Photographer to take pictures for a their website.
• In Elizabethtown, KY the Winter's Edge holds a one day free Winter War Event. But fears a lack of attendance due to recent tornados in the region.
• The Duchy of Murky Waters in Killeen, Tx holds their Bi-annual celebration, Troll Fest.
• The Kingdom of the Wetlands holds their Collegium at the Grangerland Community Center in Conroe, Tx.
• Declarations for the Monarchy Begin in the Rising Winds.
• The Duchy of Phoenix Tears in Springfield, illinois will hold their Qualifications.
• Ballots for the election of Monarch and Regent of the New Central IM Principality are Due. Savaen and Teleri are running unopposed for the positions.
• Discussions continue on Esam about the two groups up for kingdom status at clan this year; Desert Winds centered around Salt Lake City, UT, and Stormhaven in Spokane, WA. A third group Western Gate in St Louis, Missouri plans to give the Circle of Monarchs it's intent to present for status next year.
• Mushroom Shrine a chapter of the Wetlands, Located in Pasadena, Texas invades their baby sister park Cairn Garneth in Deer Park, Texas.
• The Principality of Winter's Edge under Neverwinter talks on their lists about ways to achieve kingdom status.
• In St. Louis, Missouri the Duchy of Western Gate laments their lack of qualified Reeves and plans for their June Demo at the Pagan Picnic.
• Photos of a Blackspire event in 2007 are released.
• Announcements went out about the 25th anniversary of Clan, to be held on its usual third weekend of July, Autocrated by Brennon and Meggido.
• The Sakura Moon Shogunate has failed to present with a contract, and Kurse has stated that he will be issuing a cease and desist letter to them. Read the discussion on Esam Here. Happily the Tampa and St. Petersburg SMS chapters have chosen to seek freehold status. Yay!
• Annual Amazon Tea party is announced.
• Storm Grove a petitioning chapter of the Emerald Hills in Ft. Smith, AR. Has elected their new leadership; Siobhan as Sheriff, Derek as Prime Minister and Moose as Champion. They are also looking for ways to prepare for their up coming kingdom visit in April.
• Desert Winds is seeking artisans for their upcoming Salt War Auction. Garlon has already donated his scale mail to the cause.
• The Duchy of Astral Winds in Faribanks, Alaska will hold their Coronation feast.
• Feral announces his intention to Run for Prime Minster of the Wetlands.

Friday February 1st to Sunday February 3rd 2008

• The formation of Last Shadows in Lucas , KY is announced to the displeasure of Mysik Caverns, an already existing chapter in a nearby city; Glasgow, KY.
• Falcon Tor a freehold in Columbia, MO, raids Centerpoint in Kansas City, KS. With reinforcements coming from Heartland in Cameron, Missouri.
• Querna Tema holds it's local Midreign in Omaha, Nebraska. Gabriella wins Dragonsmaster, Balinor Weaponmaster and Yoto becomes Prime Minister.
• The Central Im Principality list is thumping, trying to chose a new name.
• Goldenvale still working out the details on their new site for Great Eastern, Stony creek campground in Wellsboro PA.
• The CK holds it’s first weekend long Weaponmaster/Dragonmaster event, at it’s usual event site, in Giddings, Texas. Sylvanista is elected Kingdom Prime Minister and Drakknar wins Weaponmaster.
• Mystik Caverns, a chapter under Winter's Edge in Glasgow, KY has decided to enforce the Sash rule.
• Blackrock Hills in Nitro, West Virginia continues it's series of quests.

Friday January 25, to Thursday January 31, 2008

• Enchanted Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho was inducted in to the Principality of Desert Winds
• Neverwinter held it's Winter coronation Bash, a "Pimp event" where the Sakura Moon Shogunate presented king Stinkfoot with a "Royal Cape", and Venus was knighted in the Order of the Crown.
• Emerald Coast in Neverwinter is trying to restart, under new management.
• Cairn Garneth in Deer Park, Texas announced it's grand opening.
• In the Emerald Hills King Morgan made a ruling that he is not granting Monarch permission for anyone under 14 to engage in combat with anyone 14 or older.

• The Celestial Kingdom kicked their Spring War Ad Campaign into high gear this week, posting about it on ever major message board and mailing list.
• Blackrock Hills in Nitro, West Virginia status is currenty in limbo, as its members have voted to playtest a new set of rules and possibly leave Amtgard.
• The Emerald Hills Monarchy made a visit to it's far flung chapter Riverstone in Tahlequah, OK. The chapter of Five Banners out of Tulsa, OK also joined them.
• Auctions for Cabins at Trikingdom Midreign continue.
• Crystal Groves wades into RP still glowing from their first Kingdom Coronation.
• A reporter for the local news visited the Wetlands chapter of Stormwall located in Hitchcock, Texas.
• Sir Grendel uploaded the February Fight Theme: Defense on youtube.
