Maestro MaA Staccatto Toccata, of the Inland Ocean under the Northern Lights of Kingdom Blackspire
”That's right: we're actually an illuminati organization bent on world domination... through wenching."
Flurby Character Biography
Staccatto has spent the bulk of his life either being a rich bard or a poor bard. Really, the difference between the two isn't that big: the food and women are generally more tasteless for poor bards, but it's really all the same in the end. Having spent most of his life in pursuit of coin and cleavage, Staccatto stumbled into the Crimson Sanctum where he played many delightful concerts, made some close friends and ruthlessly ridiculed everyone who wronged him. When he got bored of that, he left for greener pastures (and less chaste women), leaving behind only terrible nicknames and the music of laughter.
... What did you expect? He's a bard. That's what bards do.
Mundane Biography
Andy was introduced to Amtgard in April of 2007 as a senior in high school. He was a common sight at the Crimson Sanctum throughout his senior year and the following summer until he moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. He took a year long hiatus while he lived in the dorms, largely due to his inability to get to a park. Now, he regularly plays with the good folk of the Inland Ocean where he takes ruthless beatings from the vastly superior fighters. While he can occasionally be seen at Twig-on-Hill, the Crimson Sanctum, Silver Sun and Siar Geata during the summer months, he considers himself an Inland Ocean fighter who merely visits the Southern lands (much like a wandering bard might).
His most recent pet project has been recruiting members for an order. And an awesome one at that. More details to come.
Notable Accomplishments
- Occasionally writes songs about various people in the Amtgard community. His personal favorite thusfar has been Lalailom the Lusty Wench
- Responsible for updating the heraldry of the Crimson Sanctum after their join with the Kingdom of Dragonspine. Though the actual sketch of the heraldry was done by an friend of his who is an aspiring artist, he spearheaded the initiative to have the heraldry revised, performed the transfer of the original sketch into the vector copy and supervised the creation of the new banner.
- Aided in the creation of Twig-on-Hill, a new Southern California park founded by members of the Crimson Sanctum.
- Competed in the first annual "rap battle" at P-War against Tseng, their duel will resume by the river next year...

More Information
The times that I'm happiest being a bard are when I'm off the field. You'll usually see me with a big smile on my face when I'm singing and playing guitar by the campfire at events. That being said, I can come off as a bit of an arrogant jerk. Sorry about that; it's really more of an act than anything. I like to play the bard and, in my head, that tends to include a degree of playful teasing. If it really bothers you, please just talk to me about it. I do have a genuine, profound respect for many, though I usually prefer to express it by giving them a hard time.
I apologize in advance if I take extra swings or hit you in the head. Please don't take it personally. In my head, it's actually a way to be polite: if we can fight in such a way that we always establish a clear victor, then we don't need to slow down the ditch line with discussion. I'm okay with saying "sorry for the late hit" as many times as I need.
