Weekend of the 18th/19th
It is my duty to announce that do to mundane personal issues, his majesty, King Sir Tseng is stepping down from the kingdom monarch position.

We will need to hold an althing at the next kingdom event (Nov 16th, Ithra) to remedy this situation. According to our corpora, the Regent would step up and assume the role of Monarch. Our current Regent is Aristiri. According to the June 2005 althing, she is not allowed to hold the position of monarch. So....

Voting issue #1. Is the Kingdom of Blackspire willing to let Aristiri fulfill her Regent responsibilities by allowing her to complete the term as Monarch?

(She still would not have access to any kingdom moneys as that was a separate althing ruling.)

Voting issue #2. If the first vote fails, we will then need to elect a Pro-Tem Monarch.

Regardless of what happens at this althing, King Tseng and myself have made a temporary ruling that as Regent, Aristiri will act as head of the kingdom effective from now until the Nov 16th Althing has made a determination.

• Announcements about the upcoming kingdom coronation go out to all neighboring lists and subgroups. A greek Feast will be held at the celebration on November 15th as well as a raffle benefitting The Ruidoso Church of the Nazarene as a thank you for all of the help they gave during the Clan floods. Emerald Hills

• Now accepting declaration for reign XLII. Current Regent Faunna Demonspawn has declared for the office of monarch, Forest Evergreen for Guildmaster of Reeves. Details . The next scheduled elections are November 29 and 30, 2008

Celestial Kingdom

• Final tallies for the much contested kingdom elections will be completed on Sunday at Fuddruckers across from Highland Mall in Austin. The most contested election in six reigns concluded yesterday with Esoum the clear winner due in large part to a voting block out of one of the northern provinces, Murky Waters. Where once there were six registered voters there are now 59. 172 people are currently dues paid in the CK. 115 of those voted in this election. Golden Plains

• All declarations for Prime Minister are due to me personally in writing / private message (a spoken declaration will not be accepted) no later than 3:00pm, Saturday, November 8th. For those requiring it, there will be a Reeve's Test administered by the Guildmaster of Reeves or myself on Saturday, November 1st at 1:30pm, once the test starts no one arriving late will be able to join in; if you are unable to attend on that day or you do not pass the test, a seperate second test will be generated and administered Saturday, November 8th at the same time with the same stipulations. At 3:01pm Saturday, November 8th, declarations will be closed.

Iron Mountains

• Emperor mOZz will be holding two battlegames this weekend in IMD on Saturday and North Haven on Sunday. Flying Monkeys are attacking and the castle needs defenders.
• Hwesta continues to set her schedule for her reign over the Principality of Rivermoor

Goldenvale

• Veles Harbour, recently combined with Sea of Rhye has posted their intention to hold an event early next year called Agoge in the Hampton Roads area VA. details
• October 18 Kingdom Althing

Dragonspine

• Ashen Spire has petitioned to join Westmarch details
• The fairbanks Alaska chapter, Astral Winds has voted in a recent althing to sponsor the newly minted shire, Glaicer Keep to their south in Anchorage.
• Memebers of the Principality of Westmarch will hold their November althing shortly. One of the major ballot provisions is an expansion of those aloud to vote and hold office. details
• The Coronation of Anatole Stroke and Dougie and the stepping-down of Emer and Annabellee will be held next weekend.

Wetlands

• Regent Ozmandius has been holding a series of traveling Arts and Sciences classes. The next one will be Chain work with Sir Little John at Crimson Moon on November 6th.

Blackspire

• October 18 Stormhaven Crown Qualification A&S Tourney - Arts and Science Tourney where candidates must qualify with a 3.0 with 7 items in at least 5 categories to be on the ballot. Secondly we will be doing the Coats for Kids at this time so bring out your extra coats. Elections - After the totals from the A&S
• There has been enough local interest to warrant another meeting at Sylvan Fenn. We will be meeting at Memorial Park on Saturday October 25th at 2pm. I am unsure if this will be a success or not, I will gauge interest and post about further meetings within the following week. Everyone is more than welcome to come and show up. A small amount of loaner weapons will be provided.

Rising Winds

• Thorvald has posted his extensive travel schedule. The two groups that are not on this list are Reeceding Waters and Knoblands. King Thorvald says that the distance that he would need to day trip is currently too great.
• October 17 to 19 Western Gate Coronation.
• October 19 Phoenix Tears Allthing.
• Just a reminder to everyone, those elected to class guildmaster positions this term will also get a vote on our new rules revision committee. This batch of guildmasters will be voting on potential rules clarifications for clan next year, so if you want a voice and you care about a class, then make sure you declare for your Guildmaster position of choice.
• Kaads has Declared for Kingdom Prime Minister, Tugen for Guildmaster of Reeves, and Hexloc for BoD .

Crystal Groves

• October 18 Crystal Groves: It is our desire to hold a Tourney/Demo in honor of our dear friend Solay Firehawk.
• Crystal Groves [url=http://cgforum.amtgardeast.com/index.php?topic=846.0 discusses] their upcoming althing on their Forums. Major issues include subgroups voting in and upholding kingdom wide bans.

Desert Winds

• Daenen Trelmayn Half-Elven, along with his wife, Alicia Morfutt, have declared for the positions of Monarch and Regent of Desert Winds.

Freeholds

• October 18 Crown Quals for Centerpoint. Declarations for office due.
• October 19 Lands End will hold a Quest with guests, Niflheim.
• October 19 Harrowing Citadel coronation feast.
• Many members from Falcon's Nest leave to join Harrowing Citadel. Clayr, previously banned from participation at Thundering Rivers says that she will stay and try to grown the floundering freehold.

Burning Lands

Emerald Hills

• World Banner Wars occurs on this, it's accustomed weekend, Oct 10th-12th. Gate fee this year is a miniscule five dollars, no matter when you arrive. This weekend also has a local sporting event; the Red River Shoot Out, an annual college football game between the University of Texas Longhorns and the University of Oklahoma Sooners. The Game is very well attended and it almost always causes conflicts and traffic problems particularly for those that travel from the Celestial Kingdom. There was some idle discussion this year about moving the event, but it is highly unlikely. Banner Wars Schedule on Esam. The EH requires a waiver and event contract to be signed by either a legal guardian or parent if you are UNDER 18.

Celestial Kingdom

• Voting continues to take place in the Celestial Kingdom, this being the most contested race in at least six Reigns. All contestants Qualified. While the Champion Elect, Thad has already been determined, the offices of Monarch and Regent remain contested by three hopefuls each. Election Details

• Weaponmaster for Queen Lyra's reign will be held on Amarillo's field on October 19th. Sign in will be at 1:00 pm and fighting starts at 2:00 pm.

Iron Mountains

• Rivermoor will hold a one day Coronation of their Princess Elect Countess Hwesta, and Regent Elect Duke Sir Raion no Yoto on October 11.
• Declarations for office are due for Ivory Tower by the 12th.
• Bromos, Kupe and Takko have all declared there intent to run for Ducal Champion of Olympus

Goldenvale

• October 10-12 Gauntlet of Chaos: Sea of Rhye, Bitter Coast, Veles Harbour Joint Event to be held at NRC Solomons, MD.
• Submissions for next weeks Kingdom Althing are Due.

Dragonspine

• On the DS List discussion of who should be allowed to vote for the office Guildmaster of Reeves. Currently only those who are dues paid and Reeves Qualified may vote for the office, there is proposal to expand the voting pool to include all those in the Reeves Guild.
• Randall and his wife Azreal-Jade are in their local paper for their conflicting political views.
• October 11th: Siar Geata will hold and Archery Contest at their park in Escondido, CA.

Wetlands

Neverwinter

• Voting will occur for the office of Kingdom Prime Minister, Desybel is running unopposed.
• Announces further details of their upcoming Midreign to occur Nov 14-16 at Florida Bible Camp-High Springs, Florida. Gate cost will be $25.00. This weekend will be a clean up effort at the site, any locals available are asked to help out.

Blackspire

• On Tuesday the 14th: Oathbreaker Bog in Sherwood, OR will hold an Allthing and discus their new Park Heraldry. They will also hold Sir Gideon’s Invitational Tournament for Beginners; anyone who has been in Amtgard for less than a year may participate. 3 bracket, double elimination, brackets and prize TBA
• Saturday, Oct 18th: Stormhaven Crown Quals - Arts and Science portion of Stormhaven crown qualifications are to be held. Officer Elections will be held as well.

Rising Winds

• Oct. 12, Ashen Hills in East Lansing, MI plans for expansion. Some people might call it a war. I see it more as an opportunity to extend our sphere of influence. Neighboring parks will either join us or be crushed. Our first raid will be on Woodhaven Keep in Rochester Hills. We'll figure out travel arrangements this coming weekend. It should be an awesome day trip -- a chance to visit another park without a major commitment in drive time. -Evil Baroness Io.
• October 12, Satyr's Crossing Will be having a Pun Tournament and a quest this weekend. All are welcome to come and join the festivites! It's our birthday! topics will include; Alcohol, Knights, and the Opposite Sex.

Desert Winds

• October 11th Kingdom Game day in Enchanted Falls at Twin Falls, Idaho.
• Oct 11th. Quest at Truevale Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Freeholds

• Next weekend Qualifications will be held at Centerpoint Kansas City, KS. Declarations for office will also end that Saturday.
• Last weekend many CK natives visited their newest local freehold. Find their Reviews of the opening day of Pekannott Rois in Pleasanton, Texas on their forums. This is the fourth Know group to form in the small south Texas town, previous chapters include Keinplatz and Skull's Keep.
• Oct 12, Bandit Flats East will be holding an althing to review the TaCA and also have an offical vote on if we would like to join Crystal Groves or not.
• Tetsu Bonsai discus how to reinvigorate their chapter on their Forums. They will also be visiting Falling Fire also located in Tampa, Florida this weekend.
• The chapter of Mists of the Dawn talks about switching play days from Saturdays to Sundays.

• This will be the last chance for clean up of the Tangle wood forest site before Banner Wars. People from all over the amtworld are finalizing their travel arrangements for the event next weekend.

Celestial Kingdom

• Quals to be held on saturday at Pavilion A, Rio Vista Park, 555 Cheatham St., San Marco TX from 10 until we're done. For Monarch we have; Clalibus, Esoum and Istari. For Regent; Chango, Foxtwychen and Tink.

Iron Mountains

• The Imperial Champion has set the date for the 6th annual Sapling Mastah and the 1st ever Hatchling tourney. It will be held in Darkmoon on October 4th and will start at noon. This will be a fighting and A&S tourney, they will be run independently from each other. So if you have too many orders of the warrior and want compete in the Hatchling tourney, you may do so and vice versa. Any competitor with three or less orders in ether event may participate. Dragonspine

• Elections will be held in Dragonspine on October 4th. For the office of Monarch and Regent, I am pleased to announce the election of Duke Anatole Stroke as our incoming monarch, and for regent Lord Darian "Dougie" Redthorn as our incoming regent. The results of the voting are as follows: Anatole: 12 votes Dougie: 10 votes, 1 "no confidence" and 1 "other". The new Guild Master of Reeves is Randall.
• Sunday, October 5th starting at noon at Kiri and Mandrake's place in CG . High Oasis theme - bardic with Mandrake possibly also a class with Evan.
• Sunday, October 5th: Westmarch's Althing vote passes unanimously, promoting Siar Geata to Barony. Althing vote also passes to extend current reigns to end at Darkshore.

Wetlands

• Park PMs have been invited to type up ballots for the upcoming elections. Candidates for monarch include King:Sebastian, Oz, and Zach. For the slightly smaller bass hat; Little John and Tex. Porthos is running unopposed for Guildmaster of Reeves. Portheus and Silvertip are vying for the the champion slot.
• Oct 4th Cairn Garneth Park Coronation of Squire Tate and Regent Deirdre.

Neverwinter

• Prime minister elections begin. Voting will end midnight tuesday 10/21/08. The candidate is Desybal Dramock from Falling Fire.

• BS relic Quest Part 1 at October 4th Saturday Silver Moon in Salem
• October 5th Sunday Northern Lights local Relic Quest, and bbq fundraiser will be hosted at Greenwood Keep .

• October 5th Voting for local Officers ends in Western Gate. Our new monarch is BigHead von Grimmel *mumble*. The BoD seats will be filled by Fey Anya & Xander. 26 people voted, so yay for that.

• Ashen Hills quest is set for Sunday, Oct. 5. Two-to-three-man teams. The team with the most points keeps whatever relics its members find during the quest.

• Oct 4th Solstice MidReignIt's 1:30pm Saturday, October 4 at Calvert Park; 4811 Drexel Road; College Park, MD 20740. Don't ask mapquest, but Google Maps has it. It's just a couple of blocks away from a Metro Green line station, if that's useful to anyone. We'll have an original quest from our Champion Lord Blackfoot, and a themed (Mayan & Aztek) potluck feast."
