Ignius Nicodemus Alexander de Tempest is a mage of Mordengaard in the Kingdom of the Wetlands.

Squire Ignius was a Mage in another realm. During an adventure, he discovered that the shifting mists between worlds hid other realms, and he devised a way to cross it, finding himself in the Kingdom of the Wetlands.

Ignius is squired to Archduke Sir Harold and Apprentice Wizard to Thaco.

You can read about Ignius' adventures in his Journals.

Interesting Character Facts

  • Ignius has the Dagger of Time, an ancient artifact that is said to be able to bring those who are Permanently Dead back to life. He used the dagger's final charge to resurrect Sir Caim upon his initial appearance in Amtgard. (The dagger is now just a normal dagger.)
  • Ignius calls himself a "Mage" or Battlemage (not to be confused with the Battlemage Archetype). This is a catch-all term representing Ignius being primarily a Wizard, while occasionally appearing as other classes.
  • Ignius is a follower of the Greek demigod Tharos, also called The Black Lion or The Nemian Shadow. As a devout follower, Ignius will not kneel to any god or man. (He still shows respect and deferece by bowing, doffing his hat, etc.) Notably, this includes refusing to take a knee upon receiving a Wound to the leg, instead always choosing to post.
  • Ignius often makes and brings food to Mordengaard. Nom nom nom.
