History
The original seat of the Empire of the Iron Mountains, the group became a Duchy when the kingdom switched from a Static Crown to a Floating Crown, then was re-designated the Crown Lands of the Iron Mountains in 2009. This change caused the group to not be a separate land in its own right and did not give out its own awards or elect its own monarch. This was so there is no drain on the Crown Lands due to the large number of players from this park that contributed to Imperial office. The group elected a local record-keeper (the Seneschal) and was otherwise governed directly by the Imperial Monarch and Regent. In 2014, the group was redesignated a barony and its workings returned to those before its time period as the Crown Lands. Later in 2014, the group was upgraded back to a duchy. The group currently plays in Denver, CO.
It is the oldest continuous group in the Iron Mountains, founded in 1989.
