Biography
Kord was one of Amtgard's premier, perpetual office holders, being the first known individual to have held every position in the Iron Mountains. He was one of the founding members of Amtgard International, and acted as the Treasurer for the board from 2015 until 2019, and President of the board until his term expired in 2020. He was one of the three principal authors of the V8 Rules of Play, and was also engaged as a member of the V9 team until he stepped down in January of 2024. Kord is known for his quick wit and calm, hyper-rational demeanor. He is also an accomplished singer, specializing in music that causes others to experience a cringing feeling colloquially referred to as "soul pain." Kord was knighted in the Order of the Crown in 2009, Flame in 2014, and Sword in 2023.
