It is worthwhile to note that whilst wiki-fyng the rulebook does make information easier to find it also makes that information about as honest and accurate as that page’s last updater. A note about rulebook content

Actual rulebook text is always contained inside yellow rule blocks. Any text not inside a rule block is either anecdotal, cultural, opinion, or general (but non-official) guidance. A rule block looks like this:

Persuasion

Intelligent monsters and NPCs find the players arguments more convincing than they otherwise would and are more likely to be influenced by the player.

Long term and controversy-shrouded project to update the Amtgard Rulebook 6.0, started around 1997. In October of 2002 after many years, the first draft of 6.1 was finally unveiled. Last year an update, termed 6.12 was released.

The end result of this project was the 7.0 Rulebook.

The project has been controversial for many reasons, including the selection of committee members (reps were not chosen solely by the kingdoms represented), the length of time for the project, and certain aspects of it such as the use of Hybrid over Atomic Clock or Shot In Motion.
