Ryze doesn't really have a last name, she made her's up on her own since she was cast out from her village before she could even learn her last name - not that her father wanted her to share it anyways.

Ryze Darkflower was born in a tiny village just north of Northern Lights next to an elf village where they lived in peace for a very long time. She was born human but wasn't raised human or elf because of her parent's mistake which they blame on the elves.

Ryze's last name derives from the magical flowers she swore to protect from those who were xenophobic. Due to a major fire that wiped out a whole forest of them, and nearly a village. Because of her 50+ years of guarding the flowers and saving the village, the spiritual guardian bestowed the title "Guardian of the Crescent Flowers", as well as giving her the option of using the last name Darkflower, which she later finds out is her mother's maiden name, a key of finding her mother. One day, while her family was on a stroll few weeks after Ryze was born they came across an Elf Gypsy and her father had said something about how elves were a little more savage and unorganized then their human versions. The wondering elf over heard this and confronted them, cursing them to know what it's like to bring up an elf-child. Ryze was in her cradle, sleeping alone in her room. The house was being watched by the grandmother but she was known for drifting off because the child was so quiet and sweet. Fearing for their child they ran back to their house and discovered Ryze looked no longer human, nor did she have the brown tuft she was born with - it was red. Little elf ears poked out on the side of her head and she looked even more peaceful sleeping in her bed.

Her father came out of the home and went to find the gypsy, demanding she give him back his daughter. He pointed, spat at and demanded to see the woman. The gypsy came back after sundown and smiled at him.

"I hear you like your work?" She purred out.

"My work?" He pointed back at his home with his wife and the child in her arms, watching with curious blue eyes. "Give me my child now!"

She laughed and laughed until he grew bored. "That is your child. She is all human as I am and she is all elf as you are. You put her in limbo with your words." And with the words hanging in the air, she disappeared right in front of him.

Spitting at the ground he declared the long awaited war between the two villages. Once Ryze was 5, old enough to walk and some what talk, but not enough to remember the village, they gave her to travelers and told her to never return.

Since then, she's been on her own after she escaped the judging eyes of the humans and learned surviving on her own. She traveled far into the Burning Lands where she now resides in Angel's Haven. She goes back and forth into Northern Light's Shrouding Mist as well.

Darkflower came from a flower she would use to put into her house during the night to bring in lighting bugs so she could see what she was doing before bed. People from the other villages would spot her harvesting one a night during the Winter and call her the Darkflower Elf. Unless she needs to, she never traveled to the villages, never speaking to anyone she didn't know that didn't sell anything she needed.

Ryze doesn't have a middle name, nor does she prefer one. She likes Dark Flowers and Carnations only of the whitest colors. She eats when she can but in little quantities unless it's sweets. Her favorite colors are purple, red, black, silver and a deep shade of blue. Ryze loves chokers and earrings, fox pelts and enjoys crafting supplies as well. She draws on her free time and loves to play hide and seek.

She doesn't like most kinds of fish and tries to stay away from shiny things. She loves them, but she doesn't care for much interaction with the owner. She won't go up to people and talk and she'll talk through a clan member. She can kind of sing but hates to do it.
