History
A brief history of Centerpoint, one of two known chapter's to be active in Kansas. We keep hearing rumors of more, but nothing concrete has surfaced yet.
2006: Dane Pisces, VERY formerly of Rogue's Haven (Tyler, TX), digs "The Ghetto Blaster" out of his closet while moving. This inspires him to make a handful more weapons and to start beating on his friends with them. Inevitably, said friends make weapons of their own and begin to fight back. This is the beginning of our shire, 6 months spent beating one another with half-finished weapons.
2007: Tenebrus gets fed up with Dane's lack of vision and moves the park to a better location. Furthermore, he recruits new members and generally Re-Founds the park. Two Veteran player's eventually join the throng and assist him in this endeavor. Centerpoint peaks it's attendance at 19 people just before the winter sets in. Discussions begin in earnest about moving away from Freehold status.
2008: Numbers trail off throughout the winter, but begin to climb again as march approaches. Our first formal Mid-reign has 26 in attendance. Our Third Coronation becomes our largest event yet, and probably the largest gathering of Freehold People ever.(42!) Tenebrus is elected Sheriff with his brothers Biggs and Wedge Filling in the Positions of Champion and Regent respectively. Real life reared it's ugly head over the summer and our numbers fell again. In a bold decision to help our floundering park, we moved to Shawnee Mission Park, and almost immediately saw an upswing in numbers again. We are now approaching Barony size, and with the future of the park no longer in question, are going full steam ahead with our Rivermoor petition. On November 8th, 2008, Tigger deCat became the first non-founding member of the park to hold the office of Sheriff.

Directions
We've Moved! Centerpoint has migrated to the far more high profile park of Shawnee Mission Park. Located off of 87th and Renner Road, SMP is the most heavily trafficked park in the state. We currently play in the Walnut grove area of the park. To find us, turn left at the Park entrance, take the first right, and park in the large parking lot on the left of the road. Or, just follow the signs that say Amtgard.
Currently, we play on Saturdays from 1pm until we're too tired to move.
From I-435
Coming from either I435 North or South, take the 87th street exit. Head west and turn right(north) on Renner Rd. Follow Renner until you see the large sign that says "Shawnee Mission Park" There are also street signs to point you in the right direction.
