8.0 Rulebook
The 8th Version of Amtgard rules, as of 2014-05-13, have not yet come out and are still in development. They are close to completion though and there are several parks that are play testing the Version 8 rules. The most recent version of the Version 8 rules is 0.7.4 which is a Release Candidate.
The rules are considered much more newbie friendly than the 7th version of the rules were and are expected to pass at Clans later this year. There will likely be one more update to the rules before Clan and it will only contain minor fixes like spelling and grammar mistakes.
