Tiibi of Valley by the Coast of the Rising Winds.

In nomine lunae

Quotes

"I'm a magical girl."

Biography

Stumbled upon a ratty flyer in the local comic book shop in early August of 2018. It was advertising a bunch of nerds that like to run around in costumes and swing foam swords - naturally this sounded fantastic. Two weeks in, she was already in garb and ready to take on all the things, including the title of park sheriff. Or so is the mundane timeline....

The woods surrounding Valley by the Coast gave birth to this child of the moon in the dead of the night. The shire frightened and fascinated her so she watched from afar. It was Kaio who managed to coax her into civilized life. To this day, no one, not even Tiibi, knows how she arrived to Valley, a young woman fully clothed and coherent (even if not speaking the local tongue).

For the longest time, it was unclear if Tiibi could speak at all, but the young woman fortunately took to language and unfortunately song and pranks.

She seemed to emerge at the most opportune time. Magic overtook Valley, relinquishing a great power to its denizens but also the evils lurking near. With Tiibi’s help, citizens woke their magical abilities and learned to harness them to fight against a series of evils spawning from the negaverse.

Valley was successful in their fight and there was relative peace for a time. Occasional outbreaks of fire elementals broke apart the monotony of everyday life (fighting fires was something exciting for Tiibi to do). Until the War of the Roses - a civil war in Lochaven between her mentor Kaio Fel’Malik and another strong leader, Zander Claid.

The war went on all too briefly - it was revealed that the civil war was a ruse. It was a training exercise for a greater evil brewing within the forests between Valley and Ashen Hills. Initially, Tiibi was hurt by this betrayal, but the insurgence of demon forces quickly made her throw her feelings to the wind. After all, she had become stronger because of it all.

Duke Kaio Fel’Malik took her under his wing and more or less views her as much his child as his own flesh and blood, especially after all of the testaments lain before them in Valley, Lochaven, and the greater kingdom. He taught her the magic of his family, the magic of the paragon soul.

Unfortunately, the first lesson did not go as planned.

A mix of her lack of attention and a corruption of demonic entities brought upon by the aetheric flux happening throughout the Rising Winds, Tiibi’s first brush with paragon soul magic left her possessed by the soul of a lepus; she was transformed into a tall, lanky rabbit beast. She was still Tiibi, but also not at all. Instead of free, she was more feral. Focused, but obsessive and mistrusting. Still impulsive, but because of fear rather than her usual curiosity.

Unsure how to correct the disaster, Kaio, in his grief, tapped in to his shattered healer soul, only to be possessed himself by dark, necromantic magic.

For months, Lepus Tiibi roamed the woods, intelligent but feral and incredibly distrusting of humans and thus mostly avoiding them.

During this time, the frequency of demonic incidents reported the north had heightened. Denizens of Valley and Ashen Hills did their best to ward away the evil but hard winter and low supplies made the fight a losing battle. Valley by the Coast was suffering its darkest hours after months of dealing with a demonic incursion and had little hope of redemption. The cries of life in crisis, life ending were a beacon for the mind trapped within the lepus form.

Tiibi returned to Valley, still a lepus, but she returned.

Things were hopeless and yet the people of Valley had rallied and continued to fight. She watched old friends fall, and those that stood continued to fight twice as hard.

Of the battles that had been long fought throughout the lands of Lochaven and the greater Kingdom, the fight with the Demon Lord was expectantly the battle to end battles. What the people hadn’t anticipated, however, was for Duke Kaio to step away from it all- from Lochaven’s destroyed lands, its people, and even his title. The demon wars had depleted him of much, including time with his home, his family, all of which he’d neglected and nearly lost.

He didn’t leave Lochaven unwarded.

Tiibi, whom many had thought to been lost to the woods and a lepus curse, had returned to Lochaven to assist the stalwart and spirited people in their fight but not as the horrific monster she’d left as - a blinding white light had consumed the battlefield, fading to give birth to a familiar waif. Only this young woman had two, great silver wings and a whisper of a luminescent halo.

Tiibi, a realized aasimar, inspired by the sight of such selfless camaraderie helped purge the north of demon-kind.

The rifts had been sealed but some of the demons had remained and insisted they had wanted no part in the Demon Lord’s invasion. What more, the fluctuations in reality had forced unsavory consequences - strange disease erupted across the kingdom. Duke Kaio, tired and worn from the experience, energy depleted, handed over control of Lochaven to a man well revered and experienced with the sort of labor needed to heal and rebuild.

Archiater Rieux Latham would lead Lochaven into the future.

Tiibi would help the Archiater set about the task of rebuilding what was lost and purge plague from their Grand Duchy. Even more laborious, they worked through matters of diplomacy (and even worse, paperwork). Tiibi would spend the next months working with these demons and creatures, giving them purpose and a new life in the brilliant new era they would all build together in the Valley and abroad.
