Biography
Started at Kaembryge in 2011. Went inactive for most of 2012. Reappeared in 2013 at Traitor's Gate.
(RP) Renjara was born on a ship in the north Atlantic, the same ship where she spent nearly all of her early years. Her father had been taken in a Viking raid from his home in Hamburg, Germany. His viking crew hailed mostly from the [1]. Renjara grew up learning first aid at sea and saved the sailors lives many times. Her mother passed away from scurvy and she was made the ship's only attendant at a young age. A few years later, she and her crew found themselves set upon by pirates. Another merchant ship captained by Khazmylar Hotaru came to their rescue, taking many injuries. In gratitude, she traveled with Captain Hotaru for many years and nearly married him. They were in an argument one day and the ship left without her, leaving her stranded at the Vik.
She was on land for more than a few hours for the first time in her life. Clearly, this had to be avoided. She ran into non other than Leif Erickson, or Leif the Lucky. She went with him on a journey first to Greenland, to the home of his father, Eric the Red, and then on to [2].
The common trips into Vinland to collect Butternuts and other supplies allowed her to ween herself from the sea and settle down to life on land slowly. During these trips, she also met some [3] women who were amazed with the glass beads she had sewn onto her clothing. Each trip as she was picking berries and nuts, they would find each other. They managed to teach each other through language and cultural barriers and develop a friendship.
On one ill-fated trip to Vinland, the men of her group met with some natives who were not so willing to share. Due to her relationship with the women, she was spared and now lives among the natives, teaching bead work, caring for children, and healing the sick with the skills she had learned on the ship. Though from time to time, she looks to the sea, she is becoming more of a druid with each passing day.
