Biography
Granite got his first taste of Amtgard in Darmstadt, Germany in 1992. Where he saw some members of the Principality of the Silver Oak practicing on a parade field and decided it looked stupid. He was goaded into a match where he lost horribly. His competitive spirit and ego have kept him in the game ever since. Among the original members of the Silver Oak were, Sir Athisdaine, Sir Logan T. Black, Sir Teth and many others... Granite grew to love the game quickly and made great friends of those in the Silver Oak.
When he returned to the United States, he went to live in the Everett Washington area, where he founded and helped grow the lands of the Eternal Tamarack to Barony Status under CK.
After discovering the Amtgard Atlas, Granite found that a larger group, the Inland Ocean was meeting each week only 30 minutes away, so he and the rest of the Eternal Tamrack absorbed into IO.
Granite qualified for his Warlord in the summer of 1996, but was denied the award due to a disagreement with the then King of the CK. A period of several years of bad attitude followed where he did more harm to his reputation and chances for his Warlord than Zephram ever could have. Since then Granite has taken a different direction and has worked to assist others to be the best they could in Amtgard
Over the years mundane life has cause Granite to have to move more often than he would like. While this has made it increasingly difficult to set roots in any one kingdom, it has allowed him to play at many parks and see the wealth of diversity that the game has to offer.
