Amtgard Life

Realworld son of Sirrah ElSpeth and brother of Squire Cynoe.

Syntaury was born 1984 in Roswell, NM. Grew up in the game with early memories starting with early 90's: Dragonspine, and then mid-90's: Pegasus Valley. The persona name was chosen during an collegium at someone's house from a magazine about space(possibly National Geographic?). His mother urged him to change the spelling to avoid having the same name as someone else in Amtgard by chance (the same for his brother "Snow" spelled 'Cynoe')

During the PV time, he was old enough to start leveling in classes and began as an Assassin (due to his diminuitive size). He later took up Scout and Warrior, eventually playing the latter almost exclusively. Also during this time in PV, Syntaury was paged to a player named Comar (Mundane: Wayne Just).

During his coming-of-age time he was able to meet many "historical" Amtgardians and experience the growth of the game as his family traveled to other groups. Eventually, ElSpeth squired Goldcrest who evenually attained his Knight of the Flame in 1999. Later, Goldcrest squired Syntaury.

In 1998, approximately, he moved to Ohio with his family and played in fledgling group Falconridge until his involvement tapered off around 2000.

Currently, thinking of joining Blackfire Pass in Columbus, OH. After a long "break in service" he contacted Goldcrest who graciously allowed him to retain his relationship as a squire.

Goals include overcoming his rampant "gamer shame" and be of some service to the group he is in to further the game and culture of Amtgard. Growing up in it, there is always those happy memories that keep drawing him back - the latest due to Alucard's posting of many old-school Amtgard photos on his Facebook page. Hopefully this time the itch sticks.

Amtgard Bio

Syntaury is from a race of felinoids (harkening to his proper mundane upbringing that included the Thundercats) that were basically Eyptian in culture. He was found in the woods one day by ElSpeth Sharrisselva who adopted him. She also found another young, bluish Elven creature, later named Cynoe, who became like his bother.

Sytnaury eventually fell in to the lifestyle of the Assassin and Scout, becoming a bounty hunter. After his paging to Comar he learned the more noble ways of the Warrior and left behind the dark underworld. His soul-quest was furthered after his squiring to Goldcrest.

He then vanished for many years and has only recently returned to a land near to where he had wandered away many years ago.
