- if a Purple Ribbon is tied around a weapon it signifies Improved Weapon.
- if a Purple Ribbon is tied across the face of a shield, then that sheild is Improved Shield.
- if a player is wearing a purple sash it marks them as a Warrior.
- Purple in Heraldry is called Purpure
- If a player is wearing a purple sash and a skeletal mask he may be a Skeletal Champion.
- A Purple spell ball is a Stink Ball
- The Eternal Stench terrain effect is purple as well in the Dor 8.1.
