Notable Accomplishments

In 2018, Lightning analyzed ORK data to describe women's progression in Amtgard fighting. This was the culmination of two years of research and online engagement. The writeup is available here

In 2019, Lightning brought forward a corpora amendment for the Iron Mountains to run a non-men's tournament once per reign. This amendment passed narrowly and was shortly afterward imitated in Dragonspine and Rivermoor.

In 2021, Lightning led the interkingdom Awards Evaluation Committee team in proposing amendments to the award standardization. Following the team's proposals presented here, the Circle of Monarchs amended the award standardization to add a 5th knighthood recognizing battlegaming, and to make the Warrior ladder more attainable. Warlord requires 3 kingdom tournament wins instead of 4. The right of monarchs to define what constitutes a "kingdom level tournament" was written explicitly into the rules. Kingdoms were encouraged to backdate this standards change and adjust the levels of existing players as appropriate.
