Woodhaven Keep
A Shire in the Kingdom of the Rising Winds, Rochester Hills, Michigan.
Heraldry
Woodhaven Keep's originally heraldry was a complicated green, black, and silver Celtic design chosen by Willow, Xerxies, and Jalathas at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. When Woodhaven Keep reunited with it's split-off group, Myrmidon's Citadel, in 2011 the current design and colors were voted on, a black willow tree with a green knothole on a purple background.
History
Woodhaven Keep began meeting in the winter of 2006. It was founded by Xerxies after he was exposed to the game through his sister Ketza, of Ashen Hills. They were approved by the BLBOD for Freehold status on February 21, 2008 and accepted into the Kingdom of the Rising Winds in September 2009.
In the spring of 2010, political discourse as well as an excess of personal drama caused the park to split into 2 factions. Woodhaven Keep kept it's name and contract while the rebel alliance: Myrmidon's Citadel retained the location. After a year apart the 2 sides agreed to start fresh and reunited under Woodhaven Keep's contract in June 2011. At Rising Winds' March Coronation 2012 the park was elevated to Barony status.
