Lord Barnabas Emberthorn Esquire

Origins:
Barnabas Emberthorn (Kyle Gifford) joined amtgard in 2017 at Satyr's Crossing. Originally 'Brother Barnabas' he changed his name in 2018 when he moved parks to help found Rivers Edge. Barnabas is currently Man At-Arms to Grand Artificer Atlas Everdeen. Barnabas is currently a member of the Tundra Wolves fighting company and a member of the Kin Errant household.
Backstory
Barnabas was left as an orphaned baby at the monastery of five lights. A wood elf by blood he struggled to integrate into the mostly human community but considered the monastery as his home regardless. Growing up he spent most of his time alone in the woods practicing with his bow hunting small game to bring back home to add to the meager dinners held for the members of the brotherhood. Entering into adulthood Barnabas packed his belongings and went to travel the lands in search for more of his kind, there culture and potentially a life within a community of his kind. After a few years of search he found a wood elf civilization, but not everything went to plan as he quickly realized his customs did not neatly fit into thier society. With a new appreciation of his home he decided to return, and enter the fold of those that helped raise him. Appon returning however he was met with a painful realization, his childhood hood home had been attacked, burnt to the ground left to ashes... it seemed noone survived. With anger in his heart he went on a warpath to try to find those who were responsible, and with his keen senses found the first potential perpetrator. Lando the Lost Satyr was tumbling through an ethereal path, Barnabas reached out with his elven magic tracking him out of the shadows and quickly pulling an arrow put put it to the forhead of the Satyr. Lando began to thank Barnabas profusely... he was lost... and had been for awhile, Barnabas inadvertently was able to end his perpetual tumbling back to the solid earth. Barnabas lowered his bow before breaking down feeling he had let down his found family. Barnabas went on to make friends with Lando and together the chased each others pasts to try to find answers. Having found many fights many over his head, everytime Barnabas dies he rises from the ashes of that monastery... some magic tethering his soul to the call to vengeance yet unfulfilled.
