Biography
Began playing in Three Rivers with Akbar in the winter of 2002. Instantly recognizable on the field for his bright red barrel shield, and Roman armour. One of The Romans...The Only Roman.
Much about the past of Mars isn't known, but what is known is that he first appeared in records listing him as a Centurion in the 13th Legion shortly after Julius Caesar marched on Rome. From there he was assigned to the newly formed Legio XXI as a Prefect. After a a sea storm and a devastating battle where the Romans first encountered magic, Mars was left as the highest ranking officer in the Legion. Gathering the remnants of the Legion, he pushed forward into the realm of Amtgard, taking camp near the Shire of Three Rivers. As the Legion's relations with the locals grew, many natives started taking up arms within the Legion.
Years later, the Legion received information on the location of the mages that killed so many Legionaries. Acting on that information, Mars took the Legion and left on a campaign that lasted many years. Once this campaign was over, the Legion returned to the location of Three Rivers, only to find a new shire calling themselves Dark Shores. Deciding that it was a good enough home as any, Mars ordered the Legion to camp within the borders of Dark Shores.
Only after a few years, rumors had it that a single mage had survived the Legion's crusade, and Mars, not willing to let such a blow to the Legion's honor, packed up overnight and went after the mage with only his most trusted. Now he returns from that journey, only to find a new enemy.
During his service under Fox, he received the title "The Mad." It is still not sure if he was honoured with the title because of his temper or mental health.
Unsure of future attendance. It may happen, it may not. Most likely the persona of Mars the Mad will be retired.
