Biography
Kohaku started in martial arts when he was young, mainly focusing on kendo and kung fu. After turning 18, he craved a more medieval combat experience and found the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Kohaku participated in SCA for about two years as a rapier fighter. However, he desired larger-scale battlefield engagements and discovered Belegarth. Kohaku and his sibling, Broshi, were very active in Belegarth. Kohaku even squired under Sir Par. He was introduced to Amtgard in 2014.
Kohaku made the decision to stop attending Belegarth events and focus solely on Amtgard. Coincidentally, in the same month, he witnessed three broken noses and a ruptured spleen. He felt Amtgard offered a safer environment for his siblings.
Kohaku and his two younger siblings played Amtgard until the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to take a two-year break to fight cancer. A fundraiser hosted by Sir Rocky within the Amtgard community helped Kohaku cover his medical bills. Once in remission, Kohaku returned to the game. Since then, he has received five Paragons and the title of Marquis. He has held multiple offices within Amtgard and is a valuable asset to Amtgard Idaho.
