History

The Morrigan Tournament was created in 2020 by Countess Squire Guin Llewellyn, a woman fighter out of the Pacific Northwest. At the time non-men tournaments had really fallen off the map in the PNW, and were beginning to make a comeback. This tournament is designed to be a longer competition to ensure fighters get to show true prowess, no matter the number of participants. The goal is to grow the community for women and non-binary fighters, and ensure that non-men tournaments don't disappear in the PNW again.

The Morrigan Tournament will be submitted to be a corpora addition to the Northern Lights Corpora by 2022, and the hope is that it passes. This would become the first non-men tournament in the PNW to become a standardized event.

What is The Morrigan?
