Sol Invictus

Description:

Sol Invictus is a mid-west fighting company based in the Kingdom of the Rising Winds. The purpose of the company is to be the dominant force within the Rising Winds.

SI is best known for their team work on field, their well constructed company garb, and their uncanny ability to convince OPD that they hail from New Zealand.

There is also a House SI, which is a crossover house.

History:

Sol Invictus was formed in early 2001, by Sir Tanath, Sir Johann, Skum, and the infamously purple Stephan the Black. The original group was based out of St. Louis (the then Barony of Western Gate) and then spread south to the Knoblands.

The group raged on the fields of the mid-west for only a short time before the group disbanded in late 2002. Even though most of it's members went off to join other companies, SI remained a fond memory for the core members.

In the winter of 2005, Sol Invictus was reformed by Sir Wisp and Sir Tanath. Many of the notable original SI have returned to the fold. The company is now formed and has fielded at all Rising Winds events since. It is a closed company and it's membership is limited by each of the three geographical regions that make up the Rising Winds.
