When leg on death is used, it teaches people to look for targets that take out their opponents ability to hit them, it also teaches accuracy as you have to really try to hit a smaller target area, fakes, fiegnts, trick shots, and other such tools are easier learned when you have to be accurate and decisive in your shots. Also the ability to close distance on someone, block while doing it, and fighting at closer ranges are all easier taught when leg on death is used.

A form of Ditch battle in which leg shots are not called unless they would be kill shots, eg. an arm has already been lost.

Usually this form of ditching becomes popular in provinces with a lot of Stick Jocks, who consider leg shots to be a pointless tactic and little more than an inconvenience.

This form of ditching is also popular in places where ground conditions make fighting from ones knees uncomfortable or dangerous eg. rocks, mud, broken glass.


Thoughts from the Stick Jock side of things:
