V9: Light Scale

Light Scale
This style includes armor created with numerous light metal scales, secured to each other with rings in a similar fashion to Chainmail. Individual scales are not held into firm contact with the others. This style is also known as "Scalemail" or Lorica Plumata.
- Is a Tier 4 armor style.
- Must meet the Universal Equipment Requirements.
- Scales must overlap by at least 10%.
- Metal must be at least equivalent to Aluminum in density and durability. (2.7g/cm3)
- The standard for Material Thickness is based on the metal used:
- Aluminum Light Scales: 20ga (0.032") (0.812mm)
- Steel Light Scales: 22ga (0.030") (0.759mm)
- Aluminum Round Rings: 16awg (0.051") (1.290mm)
- Aluminum Flat Rings: 16ga (0.051") (1.291mm)
- Steel Round Rings: 18awg (0.040") (1.024mm)
- Steel Flat Rings: 18ga (0.048") (1.214mm)
