He also assisted [[Dourn]] and [[Trieste]] in starting the southern San Diego land of [[Sunset Cliffs]], spending many a day at fighter practice amongst UCSD's "Stonehenge" lawn. He later served as Founding [[Regent]] of [[Sunset Cliffs]], and still recalls the days when it met on a hill at a park where nobody could find it.
