He also assisted Dourn and Trieste in starting the southern San Diego land of Sunset Cliffs, spending many a day at fighter practice amongst UCSD's "Stonehenge" lawn.
He later served as Founding Regent of Sunset Cliffs, and still recalls the days when it met on a hill at a park where nobody could find it. Fortunately, the park has since moved to a more visible locale, at the advocation of himself and others.
