Glossary
Developer Note: This is a work in progress based on the terms and keywords that players most frequently want to reference. Anything with an existing definition should have a summary here and then a page reference number. Anything not defined elsewhere should have the full definition here. For now, we are just keeping a list of the terms we want to include. Feel free to submit new terms for inclusion on the Amtgard V9 Discord Server.

Repair (as a synonym for restore when talking about equipment)
Healed (as a synonym for removing wounds regardless of the effect)
Restore (as a general term for returning something to its original state)
Replenish (referring to replenish at base)
Affected / Be Affected (as it pertains to game rules vs any sort of real life influence whatsoever)
Harmless / Nullified

Strike (our official term for hitting someone - replaces “hit”)

Unobtrusive (relating to garb or thematically appropriate whatever)
Half Draw
Open Hand (see Free Hand)
Magic Switching (explain what it is and that it is allowed in Amtgard - not sure where else we could explain this)
Damage (from an in-game stance) such as the damage that a weapon does when it strikes a player in the form of a wound or loss of armor points.
