- A gray sash indicates a Monk.
- An arrow with a gray ribbon is a Stun Arrow.
- A gray spell ball is a Petrify ball.
- A gray terrain effect indicates a graveyard or fog.
- In Heraldry grey uncommon, but when it was used it was called Cendrée or in Spain De piedra. They are discribed as the color of ash or stone walls.
- Silver in heraldry is called Argent and is represented by White, not gray.
