Light Scale
This style includes armor created with light scales arranged in an overlapping pattern and secured to each other along one edge with rings or on rigid backing. Individual scales are not held into firm contact with the others. This style is also known as "Scalemail" or Lorica Plumata.
- Is a Tier 4 armor style.
- Must meet the Universal Equipment Requirements.
- Scales must overlap by at least 10%.
- Scales must be a metal at least equivalent to Aluminum in density and durability. (2.7g/cm3)
- The standard Material Thickness for Light Scales is based on the metal used:
- Aluminum Light Scales: 20ga (0.032") (0.812mm)
- Steel Light Scales: 22ga (0.030") (0.759mm)
