Biography

Hotmess Began formally playing Amtgard on February 12th, 2023 in The Kingdom of The Wetlands, founded in 1996. Hotmess is new to the game of Amtgard and the Wetlands, but she is no stranger to renaissance festivals, Dungeons & Dragons, or role playing lifestyles. A lot of people don't know Hotmess, but when you meet her personally and taste her food, she will leave a lasting impression on you. Hotmess is locally known throughout the Wetlands as the Kitchen Witch of the Wetlands, she is known currently for doing many Kingdom feasts in the wetlands and pushing the bar to give Amtgard members an everlasting experience with food.

Before her time in Amtgard, Hotmess originated from the lands of Cape Town, South Africa. From there, she moved to the United States with her family of professional bakers, seamstresses, bartending, and restaurant owners. Hotmess grew up around, learned, and started her journey with food through baking and starting her own catering business. With over 30+ years of experience and growing up in a household full of cooks and learning to make foods from scratch, Hotmess landed herself in Seattle, Washington where she will shortly realize her life was about to change when she met her now husband,Ink Von Squid, who would introduce her into the life of Amtgard. When you meet Hotmess and her husband, you will be in awe of their dynamic and the hospitality that Hotmess and INK! like to call, Squid Manor. Hotmess is a powerhouse when it comes to food, she is known for her food throughout Wetlands, she literally makes everything she can from scratch and its amazing to witness the process in person.

Hotmess is well known for her cooking, fighting as an Assassin in Battlegames (she's mean with throwies), and service to the kingdom. Since February of 2023, Hotmess has since moved to Houston, Texas where her and her husband, Ink Von Squid, proudly serve Amtgard and the Wetlands. Hotmess has served as park Regent of Granite Spyre and Kingdom Regent of The Wetlands for Reign 57 along side her husband as Kingdom Champion of The Wetlands.
