Three Lakes
A Shire of the Kingdom of Northern Lights, located in Elma, WA. The Land of Three Lakes sits west of the Kingdom of Northern Lights. We meet at Vance Creek Park, Saturdays at noon and boast wide skies and still waters to fight under and around.
All those 14 and older are welcome to participate, we have loaner gear for those starting out and plenty of friends for those who are looking to swing stick out in our Harbor.
History
Fighters Practice The Grays Harbor Fighters Practice of Greenwood Keep started in February of 2019, meeting Monday evenings for members of Amtgard too far removed from other established fighter’s practices. This fighter’s practice ran weekly until Amtgard as a whole shut down under emergency order in the Winter of 2020.
Going West After Amtgard’s physical return to the fields in 2021, the original members of the Grays Harbor Fighter Practice began researching locations and requirements to found their own park in October of 2023. The soft launch took place at a small park called Vance Creek in Elma, located in central Grays Harbor. For three months we remained an extended fighter’s practice of Greenwood Keep - meeting on Saturday, where we ran battle games and drills and began to recruit from the local population.
New Year, New Freehold In December of 2023, the Official Paperwork for the Freehold was filed with Amtgard Inc. and on January 2nd of 2024. The Founding Members Mason Stone, Qaann Drakmold, Beastie, Breezy Gervir, and Rola Gervir. The Freehold of Three Lakes was placed on the ORK3 as the first Amtgard Park of Grays Harbor County Washington.
A place of New Growth and New Companions With the start of our new Freehold, we set in motion the incorporation of all the parts of Amtgard we loved. Schedules were made with Craft Days, Tournaments, travel days to Major Events, and days spent breaking in the fresh grass in our new home. Attendance during this time continued to grow, and open discussions and Althing’s became common as each member contributed to shaping our new land.
