N. One who is on Gate Duty.

1). most events, the people who watch the gate, sign people in, collect money, and so forth. A thankless job that can involve staying up all night in freezing conditions with naught but a tiki torch for company. But is a sure way to find entertainment after the ditch has dried up.

2).In some kingdoms, especially those removed from the core, this position is called "Gate Troll".

3). The party in charge of all goings on at Gate is called the Gateocrat.
