Lumpy!!, you are right about the duplicate awards. I understand that you were just trying to enforce the rules, but you need to bring the intensity down. I saw the page you created, and deleted. Some of the pages you are fixing are still being worked on. Explain to them where they might have gone wrong. Teach them. Be a bit slower to delete content. Suspension Removals

It was decided to remove those for now while AI reviews the suspension/ban policies on the wiki. As I said below there are PII and possible liability issues with posting this data here. BlackBart (talk) 10:19, 21 July 2022 (CDT)

Ban notifications

The real issue is that we no longer put ban notifications on the wiki at all due to PII and liability issues, and if someone wants their wiki page deleted after a ban, we honor that request for the same reasons. The ORK is the place were official ban notifications should reside as it is easier to identify the actual person involved, and the information is more controlled there (not publicly viewable). 2018 Talk

The ORK has all of my award information, but I found it handy to have them on my wiki page as well. To quote the previous talk entry: "A friendly heads up would have been prefered. Enforcing rules are nice when their politely enforced. Not willy nilly like a child." If you really must deface my wiki page, please contact me first at [email protected] or on my talk page. I can make modifications to my own page.

As far as I'm aware, the rules state that I may not include awards as copied from the ORK. As the awards were not copied from the ORK, I don't see the issue with including my more relevant achievements for the benefit of curious readers. In the interest of providing information without conflicting with your personal interpretation of the rules, what sort of compromise do you envision? - Heron

2017 Talk

A friendly heads up would have been prefered. Enfocing rules are nice when their politly enforced. Not willy nilly like a child. Have a nice day. Cheers! Alrighty then dude if you want to save space and delete "Extraneous personal photo's" then take down these links (http://amtwiki.net/amtwiki/images/5/5f/Company.jpg)(http://amtwiki.net/amtwiki/images/8/81/Goof.jpg)(http://amtwiki.net/amtwiki/images/8/85/75621_10151994116177968_453046627_n_-_Copy_%282%29.jpg) and let me keep the other two you took down please. Cause I'm active and I would have been cool with a heads up so I wouldn't need to do this. Email me at [email protected] for a chat. Cheers!

Golden Plains still uses County, although we don't currently have any. I think there is at least one other kingdom that does as well, but I couldn't tell you which. There was some discussion at clan of standardizing park sizes next year across Amtgard. Also, I have started troubleshooting Mishka's page, but it is a difficult one. Haven't had much luck so far.BlackBart 12:56, 9 August 2017 (EDT)

Are we allowed to post all years of a player's leadership roles? Like if someone served multiple terms as monarch or regent, can we list each span of years they did so? --Qadupae 04:22, 5 August 2017 (EDT)

I found the issue on the Hollow Lands page, for some weird reason it didn't like the way the phrase "Head east on Green street" specifically the word "Head" was causing the error. So I changed it to "Go". I also did a little formatting and updated the ORK link.BlackBart 12:17, 3 August 2017 (EDT)

The captcha is still there, it just isn't preventing the bots, there are at least 2 bots that hit us regularly, and a couple of odd ones here and there. BlackBart 18:50, 23 June 2017 (EDT)

If you are going to be coming back from a long hiatus and editing upon the stuff I've already been working with, please be consistent with it and provide pages for all members, not just ones you know personally. At the very least, a blank template for those you don't know. I've been working very hard on trying to get this up to date with the ORK. Also, please don't leave broken links. If a page hasn't been created for a company or house, then please leave the link to the ORK so at least new people can find their way to the information they need. Thank you. Previous Talk

Lumpy, it is considered bad form to add yourself the 'Famous amtgard people' pages. --Linden 14:38, 12 June 2008 (EDT)

Sorry, Blonde moment. I did not see the note up top. I'll try to be more observant of things I probably should notice in the future. --Lumpy!! 15:04, 12 June 2008 (EDT)

No worries; good to see you around again. --Linden 17:19, 12 June 2008 (EDT)

Can't lock pages which do not contain... well content. I'd also rather have to check that one for the days banning then have to look around for it. --Linden 08:55, 3 September 2008 (EDT)

Thanks for the updates! --Linden 11:26, 30 January 2011 (EST)

Thank you again for maintaing the chapters in your area. =)--Linden 08:10, 10 May 2011 (EDT)

I reverted an award deletion on Giggles page. Those awards are specialty awards not normally lisred on the ork.Hannoske 17:41, 29 March 2012 (EDT)

Banned for Life Category

I think the category is a good idea - I didn't realize Lodan was actually banned though, I thought he decided to step back personally. Either way, that brings me to my point; let's make sure that anyone who has this category added to their page is clearly banned for life and at least the time and conditions of such banning are listed on the page. That helps to avoid confusion, especially for those who may just look at the Category and not dig deeper. --Bowen 18:03, 20 March 2012 (EDT)

I was actually just going off of what I was told by Queen Artemis of the burning lands. I was told that whatever incident which forced his resignation also resulted in "...criminal charges and he has been banned from the park." I assume the ban was handed down by emergency althing held Saturday following his resignation. --Lumpy!! 18:19, 20 March 2012 (EDT)

Fair enough! That certainly explains why it hadn't reached the East Coast yet. Either way, I think documenting the banning on the individual pages is probably a good thing to do. At least the date and reason for ban. No need to go into specific charges in my opinion. --Bowen 19:45, 20 March 2012 (EDT)

Thank you!

I can't believe I forgot to change the categories on Western Gate Proper when I last modified that article. Thank you for fixing them. Zell Faze (Talk) 11:10, 27 May 2014 (EDT)

Photobucket Images no longer supported due to 3rd Party Hosting

A lot of users are using Photobucket to host their pictures. Now Photobucket is charging to enable 3rd party hosting. EX:(http://amtwiki.net/amtwiki/index.php/Celwyn) As an Admin, can something be posted on Amtgard Facebook board about this? Thank you! Gray 11:44, 4 October 2017 (EDT)

2018 Talk

How dare you categorize me! :P ;) Fiks 00:16, 30 January 2018 (EST)

Hey just a heads up, there are multiple Morpheuses. The Scions fighting company page link was a link to an unmade page for Tal Dagore's Morpheus until the wiki page was made for the Polaris Morpheus. Looks like we need a disambiguation page, not to remove names from places they should be :) I put it back as a link to MorpheusTD] and edited the Logan beltine template to match, but I'm also in the process of loading a moving trailer right now (but got distracted by the email notification for the wiki edit; ). If you don't have time to toss up a disambiguation page, I'll do it later. Thanks! -Glyn
