So, seeing this article made me think of a sword I just brought back from the dead. So this sword was tipped out a few years ago, and I just stuck it in the back of the garage. I was going through my old stuff and found it again, deciding I needed to fix it. No problem I thought. I then went scrounging for materials. I then found a couple other swords I had broken the core on, thought "oh this noodle must still be good". So I chopped the noodle off, affixed it to the tip of the first sword. Not to noteworthy. Then I noticed the pommel was dead. No problem, I had another sword with a broken core. I used the tip from that one for a new pommel. Oh hey, didn't notice this hole in the base of the blade, that is easy, let's just plug it with some pipe insulation from this other sword. Well, crap, now I need a cover, nylon's aren't legal anymore. Well this one only has a couple holes in it...

Yeah...but hey, I have a legal sword now. Hannoske 00:45, 12 May 2011 (EDT)

Now THAT is a Frankensword. Bonus points if you can whip up a cross guard that looks like "neck bolts". --Lucas 17:51, 12 May 2011 (EDT)
