Rosewood

House Rosewood was originally a Drow household created solely for roleplay purposes in the Valley of the Silver Rains in 1996.

An idea for a roleplay campout was born, and from that evolved the current Rosewood Invitational - a four day, three night full roleplay event full of Drow, and those who like to hunt them, and just anyone who likes to Roleplay.

People from all over the Amtworld are welcome to attend (some years we get contingents from SCA, Belgarath, Pirate Events, etc. participating that then join Amtgard as well). This year, we will be at the Silver Creek Falls YMCA Camp from 29 May until 1 June. Cost is $20 pre-pay or $25 at gate and includes cabins and at least 5 meals.

Rosewood allows for dual classing, as well as low level monsters or alternate classes in combination with standard classes. We have quests, class battlegames, event-specific relics, and coinage to assist attendees in roleplay.

Rosewood not only promotes roleplay, but also hosts Tournaments, Jugging, Arts & Sciences and Bardic Competitions, and Drinking Competitions. Prizes are available for almost every scheduled event. Meals are donated to the event by various Companies and Households.

We host cooperative child care with snacks, lunches, crafts, nature walks, and kids' games to assist parents who could not attend unless they bring their children (or who prefer to bring their children).

No, we don't have lit ditch fields (ditching is available between all games), but we do have skulking in the dark (night-time full-site battlegames).
