Biography

Discovered Amtgard in Fall 2022 at Kumoricon, an anime convention. Before she was even called Poppy, she was called 'Miss Murder' for the ferocity of her fighting. Immediately upon returning home, she joined Seaside Keep, a fledgling freehold in Vancouver. In the coming months, she would visit the nearby kingdom of Northern Lights and gain much perspective of the scale of Amtgard and make a handful of allies. By the time she returned, she took up the monarchy of her group with one goal: creating a new kingdom in British Columbia. In short work she was able to connect Seaside Keep to the Kingdom of Northern Lights as their newest, most northern park. Afterwards she helped found Oceans Alley, a Freehold focused on fight development.

Fighting Style

Poppy initially studied bajiquan, majorly incorporating the spear arts and footwork. By Fall 2023, she's mostly moved towards a RedSword style based on bel/dag Blademasters, using both longs and greatswords in this pursuit. Her style is heavily focused on counter attacks and stance switching, with aggressive bursty footwork.

In Feb 2024 she finally picked up shortsword nearly a year and a half into the game. She tries to apply Wayfindery goodness to it, but she's got a long way to go.

When class gaming, she plays Bard and Anti-Pal, focusing on Area of Denial and forcing people into duels.
