While he be no rodent, this fellow be a character of many shapes. That is right, he be a shuffler of semblance, a switcher of silhouettes, or as some would say; a shifter of shapes. Ah, it explains so much now yes? His constant need for a change in appearance, the many backgrounds and tales behind him, and his interest in many forms of magic. This man used his studies of the arcane arts to help hone and perfect his shapeshifting ability. While mastering the dark arts of subtly and bewilderment to help mask his true identity.

It has been ages since he has used his true face, possibly hundreds of years. Some say he doesn’t even remember his own face. All that seems true now though, is that he has only really shown himself within the past few years at Pegasus Valley. When he first arrived, the locals disapproved of his unique name and gave him the more colloquial name, “Squirrell”. Before that, there were tales of him making trouble in Greece and Norway. Even a few mentions of his actions in old elven text. One Nobel was not timid of this man, who could alter his shape.

A few years at the Valley passed and the Monarchy took note of his use of subtly and assassination and granted him a Masterhood in the field. After that, he was soon given the same honor for his knowledge in the Wizarding ways. This thanks to Lady Page Amatiel-Cassandra, who for many a moon tried to prove to the monarchy that he was ready for such a prestige, but was unsuccessful until she picked up the crown and granted him his Archmagi sash.

While he seems to be a creature of mystery, he seems to prefer a human form for a majority of his time. Unsure if this is out of preference or just to keep up appearances for the locals of the Valley. Though, there have been exceptions to this, as he becomes multiple strange creatures from time to time. Occasionally to hinder the people of the Valley, if it be the will of the deities. Forms he has taken that are of note include: a yeti, a lion, an elemental of the air, goblins on multiple occasions, and most recently, an orc. Even though he has used his ability to hinder the quests of his friends and neighbors, he has recently taken up a focus on protecting and healing his allies.

He has a certain attraction to keeping others healthy and able to defend the Valley. Which brings us to now, after going off the grid for a couple years, he is close to learning all he can of the Healer’s Way. Who knows what this shape changer will do next.

Biography

Mundane Bio: Impulse (formerly "Squirrell") started playing Amtgard because he was beating on his brother with Nerf swords at Target. So his dad then suggested he ask a family-friend, Fu to take him out to Amtgard. Impulse had a blast and stayed playing. Played for two years and obtained his Masterhood in Assassin at Midreign of 2014. Then a year later at Midreign of 2015 obtained his much sought after Paragon (Master) Wizard. A few months after receiving his Master Wizard, he took a 2 year break from Amtgard due to drama and needing to focus on school. Returned in August of 2017 and has been having a blast since.
