Biography

Esmar joined Amtgard in 1997 in a now defunct Shire based out of Sacramento, CA. After the loss of the chapter, he joined with 3 other former members and formed the Shire of the Golden Hills based out of Cameron Park, CA.

In December of 1999, Esmar moved to Salt Lake City, UT. He sought after the Shire of the Journey's End listed under the Iron Mountains, but was unable to get in contact. He contacted the Empire for direction and was told the group had fallen out of contact well before Esmar's arrival. On December 31st, 1999, with no lasting hope of discovering a preformed chapter, Esmar spoke with Sir Ivar during a session on the Burning Lands Amtmud regarding creation of a new chapter in Salt Lake City. A poll was taken during the subsequent weeks on this medium and the name of Rivers End was chosen. On January 20, 2000, The Shire of the Rivers End held it's first meeting with the attendance of 5.

Many years of highly fluctuating attendance numbers threatened the status of the Shire, some days only being that Esmar would show up. His persisting dedication to the existence of the Shire was only recognized after he was to hand over the chapter to Celdic Fitz Caliston who was voted in as the new Chancellor, upon which Esmar instructed Fitz to "build a kingdom out of his beloved Shire". His final attendance to Rivers End prior to departing was on Jan 11, 2003. By request of Fitz, Esmar was bestowed the title of Baronet - Given by Emperor Belgarion Torrid, later that month for his extended service towards the Shire, and ultimately the Empire of the Iron Mountains.

In 2006, Esmar appeared in the attendance of the Duchy of Irongate, where he met Sir Vagabond. He was inducted into Clan Bloodtooth as Sir Vagabond's Man-at-arms.

Esmar reappeared in Rivers End on May 30th, 2009; over 6 years later, promising to be back for good.
