History

In the summer of 2007, a few members of the shattered land of Three Rivers assembled the necessary paperwork and reformed the land under the banner of Dark Shores. The Shire later struggled with a severe decline in attendance that fall, falling dormant in October until mid-spring, when they resumed playing every other Sunday. Over the next year the Shire saw the return of old members, and acceptance into the newly founded Principality of Olympus. In late November of 2008, Dark Shores began playing every week, and soon underwent an immense improvement in organization and structure. Since then, the park has continued to grow and develop. Dark Shores is currently pushing Barony numbers and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Notable facts

  • Believed to be the home of the first Amtgard naval battle featuring rafts and kayaks, inflatable animal jousting tournaments, and a complete rulebook to safely facilitate in water combat.
  • Since 2007, the park has been harassed by a ominous star dwelling phallus that occasionally emerges from the Aether. Akuma tried to summon it for his own meniacal purposes, but alas it smote him into ruin while he slept.
  • Home of Mumbrew the Witch Doctor.
  • Possesses Amtgard's only known Anti-matter Trebuchet, fueled by a combination of zero-point vacuum energy and small, three headed opossums running really, really fast.
