Lichgate:

Our park location, lichgate, is actually a historical park here in tallahassee. It is certainly a hidden gem. The park is home to a 300+ year old live oak tree, a small English tutor-style cottage, a lichgate (a gate between the living and the dead), a vegetable garden, a shakespeare garden, a meditation labyrinth, and several little faerie houses. We could not be more thankful that the historical association and caretakers of the park have offered up their land as a meeting place for us. The park welcomes visitors from dawn till dusk if you wish to scout out the location before a meeting, we only ask one thing, please show respect. If you visit lichgate in the interest or name of Daemon Shire we ask that you please respect this historical landmark. Please no climbing the tree and if you bring anything to the park, please remember to bring it back home with you. As long as you follow these simple rules the caretakers of lichgate are more than welcoming to all visitors, if you happen to meet one of the caretakers we highly recommend that you ask them for a little tour of the place.

Lichgate is a popular place for weddings and other similar events so when planning to visit we recommend you visit their website (link below) and check their google calendar to make sure the park had not been reserved for the day.

Directions to Lichgate from Florida State University:

Take tennessee st west. Take a right turn onto High rd (turning left at this intersection leads you into a parking lot for CVS). Lichgate is located on your right hand side about 0.8 miles down High road. It is a gravel driveway with only a small post labeled "lichgate" as a marker. (if you reach another stoplight aka Tharp St, you have passed it). Park in the gravel lot and follow the path between the trees to the left of the notice board. We play between the 300 year old live oak and the small cabin.
