carpet tape: Two-sided carpet tape for holding indoor carpets and rugs to smooth surfaces like vinyl, tile or subfloors. A long-lasting vinyl tape

this tape is sticky on both sides and has fibers in it. its really nice for sticking on stabbing tips and helping make sure the core doesn't cut through the foam
