"Amtgard as a game has a thousand different aspects that appeal to people, and a thousand varying levels of interest in its members. Some casually come for a battle game every other Sunday, to hit their friends with pool noodle and enjoy the sun. Others travel and pour themselves into all the different aspects and the experiences that Amtgard can create. You can't look at a park and expect everyone to see things how you do, you cant shove drive and motivation, or even fundamental interest down peoples throats to improve your parks A&S skill, Warskill, or general quality as some subjectively see such things...But you can create opportunity- to learn, to develop Amtgard skills, and to dive into the enveloping atmosphere Amtgard can be. Arclight was created as a group of very different individuals, interested in growing Dark Shores into a solid, well rounded Amtgard park that offers everything Amtgard should to new players. The goal not being to make everyone in our park interested in A&S, running battle games, holding office, fighting, or any of the other things that the game brings, but to provide a place for those who are interested in these things a place to start."- Gabriel Viridian

Arclight was founded by [[Gabriel Viridian]] in the summer of 2008, as a culmination of his desire to bring the full spectrum of Amtgard experiences into the newly reborn park, focusing on developing skills in the Arts and Sciences, politics and leadership, with a heavy central focus on expanding martial skill within the land as a whole. Members work to better themselves and the park they play in, all in their own ways.  A company with strong Holy/Angelic themes, Arclight comes offering divine judgment, helping hands, and the occasional beat down.
