The Amtgard Director of Technology was created by the Amtgard International Board of Directors shortly after the formation of the AIBOD in the Summer of 2015.
First to be appointed to this position was Meggido from the Summer of 2015 to the Gathering of the Clans 2017. The current Amtgard Director of Technology is Pahyum who has served since the Gathering of the Clans 2018 to present.
When the position was created, the Amtgard Director of Technology was responsible for all of Amtgard's social media, and literally anything online in any fashion. The Director now has the support of teams, because it was too much stuff for one person.
The Amtgard Director of Technology is now responsible for managing Amtgard's technology resources and their teams: ORK, Wiki, and Website. The Director coordinates with Amtgard International on management of Amtgard's online resources, such as documentation, access requests, and general aid things. The Director is the person tasked with updates to Amtgard's volunteer recruitment website and creating surveys like the V9 survey.
