Biography
Joined Amtgard in 2009, Saint co-founded Laughing Ronin with Afro Samurai. The original name of Kurokawa referred to Jacksonville but over the course of weeks, most of the members of Laughing Ronin came from outside Jacksonville so at a beach side chapter meeting, all 10 members voted to change the name.
While not new to boffer sports, she tended to stick to the anime convention circuit and narrowly avoided the Sakura Moon Empire drama due to laziness. Weapons of choice are pole-arms: quarterstaff, spear, and naginata. Currently, she has decided to follow sagely advice and apply herself to short swords.
Persona
Aloysia Maverick was born to a pair of retired warriors who parted ways shortly after her birth. She took her father's last name to spite her mother despite living with the latter. For the most part, she tends to move as a sort of emotional chameleon, blending into the moment and absorbing the feelings of others. This is not a supernatural trait, merely a characteristic of her personality. As she got older, Aloysia took up training with a naginata and other pole arms as she found them comfortable to wield. Only later did she find that her father had been a master with them. It was during her youth that she found her love for the esoteric and mystical and so, began a monkly pursuit.
Chance took her to meet up with another solitary warrior, Afro Samurai, who hailed from the Yuurin Region just north of Kurokawa. They banded together to scour the coasts for the unexplored lands on the outskirts of Amtgardia. Presently, she is a Grey Faith practitioner of her faith, meaning that sees balance and seeks justice in the world as opposed to a White Faither (who would value principle and higher morals) or a Black Faither (who would value destruction as a means to a beginning). Usually, she does not speak on her faith though her Laughing Ronin companions suspect her of starting to lean towards being a darker shade of grey than previously thought.
