This page is under construction and does not reflect the current rules of AmtWiki, which can be found here.

The following page is a comprehensive list of the behavioral and conduct-related polices of AmtWiki.

AmtWiki is operated by a selective group of admins, headed by Crispin Silvermane. The admins reserve the right to moderate and manage AmtWiki in the manner they feel is in AmtWiki's best interest, as determined by the policies and guidelines. While any action taken by a user, anonymous or registered, may not fall under the above restrictions, admins may take necessary actions to ensure the wiki is properly maintained. The conduct policies are not all-inclusive and do not represent all actions that could result in the loss of editing privileges.

Conduct

Ownership of articles

Username policy

Sock Puppetry

Vandalism

Harassment

Enforcement

Page Protection

Content Deletion

Blocking and Banning

The things listed herein are not condoned on AmtWiki. Taking such action can result in being either blocked for a short period of time (ranging from 2 hours to a year) or indefinitely banned. Either action will result in the loss of your editing privileges, including pages in the user and talk namespace. The following will result in privilege-stripping discipline:

  • Spamming, defined here as the addition of material dissociated with the topic of a page, intentionally adding links that are not relevant, or adding material that, by the interpretation of an admin, is considered to add no value.
  • Repeatedly adding content that has been either removed by an admin or specifically requested removed by either a copyright holder or by fellow users.
  • Vandalizing an article; to include but not limited to intentionally removing content, replacing content with wrong or unrelated material, or adding content that is interpreted by an admin to be destructive to the article.
  • Harassment, vulgarity, or intimidating behavior.

As AmtWiki contains information about many people, lands, and events within Amtgard, it is an easy place to play subtle jokes (inserting inside jokes into a user page, adding a funny picture to the "Additional Pictures" section of a person's page, etc). Such actions that do not in any way violate the above restrictions may be tolerated, assuming the following:

  • Any affected person does not request its removal.
  • It does not detract from the informational purpose of the wiki in any way.
  • It is not of a humiliating nature.
