Sir Grendel began playing Amtgard in The Northern Holdfast (where he currently resides) in February of 1997. He founded a Viking/Norse household called Hús Vetra Skald in the Northern Holdfast in 2005. He also founded The Cobra Kai in 2005, he was a member of Clan MacGregor from 2003 to 2005. He was jumped in to the Rogues at World Banner Wars 2006. He, Zumat, Dan The Man, and Orion formed the Dragoon Company in June 2007.

He was squired to Sir Cullum Eyrewolf Valinor from 1999 to 2005.
