The Sounds of Violence
The Sounds of Violence
To the Tune of Sounds of Silence, Written by Donnovan Sunrider
Hello duct tape my old friend,
time to fix these swords again.
Through trench and quest and battle-game,
this camp pad just won't hold up the same.
Did you see that nasty wrap shot to the mage,
what a game.
These are the sounds... of violence.
Through battle fields I walk alone,
a single bard to write the scroll.
Of battles fought with blade, spell and bow,
so their names will come to be well known.
When the sun was blocked by the shadow of a
dragon's flight, it killed a Knight]. These are the
sounds.... of violence.
And on a quest one day I saw,
two-dozen newbies, maybe more.
They were running without turning,
from a druid who was casting.
but it was heal he was casting on himself.
Oh, well.
There were no sounds... of violence.
Come my friends so you might know,
we can help this bardic grow.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
hear my songs that I might reach you.
'cause these nights, like fallen drops of rain,
won't come again.
And echo in the halls... of violence.
And the people fight and slay,
in the (enter local land here) this day.
As the sun flashes its morning,
we'll be right here with swords swinging.
As the blades hit the songs of the legends are
engraved on the castle walls, and battlement halls.
And rings with the sounds... of... violence.
