Out in the world. N. Esquire (abbreviated Esq.) is a term of British origin (ultimately from Latin scutarius in the sense of shield bearer via Old French "esquier"), referring only to males, and used to denote a high but indeterminate social status.
In Amtgard
There are two uses of Esquire;
1. An alternate to Squire.
2. A low level title sometimes awarded to former officers of shires as per the Burning Lands Corpora.
