Sir Grendel began playing Amtgard in The Northern Holdfast (where he currently resides) in February of 1997. He is the real life older brother of Douglas. Grendel founded a Viking/Norse household called Hús Vetra Skald in the Northern Holdfast in 2005 because he didn't like the lack of raping and piliging. Since the founding of the Hús Vetra Skald Grendel is happy to report that there are at least two to three Raping and piligings a year, a three fold increase since the founding of the household. He also founded The Cobra Kai in 2005. This was done on a dare that Grendel couldn't bring back the 80s. After realising this was true, he decided to bring the 80s back to Amtgard. He's had moderate success with the proliferation of the Ninja Turtles a rival clan in Northern Holdfast. Grendel was a member of Clan MacGregor from 2003 to 2005. He quit because he didn't have the will to drink consistantly and talk about the old days. Grendel was jumped in to the Rogues at World Banner Wars 2006. This is an infinite time period before Bovine got in. While a Rogue Grendel was voted the sexiest non-Wetland Rogue not named Wickett. The vote was held between him, Cythian and Zumat. Zumat voted for Cythian who suprisingly voted for Grendel. After much discusion, Grendel, Zumat, Dan The Man, and Orion formed the Dragoon Company in June 2007. This was due to the natural desire for expansion that the Rogues could not readily offer. Grendel is known to be mistaken for Sponge. If you see him at an event and make this mistake is often prone to fits of crying and to tearing up his Spellsheet and whining "This game makes Grendel sad. Grendel not want to be sad!" It's quite amusing to see....do it!

He was squired to Sir Cullum Eyrewolf Valinor from 1999 to 2005. This contributes to his being a bad ass.
