Biography
First started playing in Silverwater in the mid to late 90s, where he founded House Blackstar, serving one term as park Champion. He then moved to Darkwater East for a number of years before settling in Dragon's Keep. In each of these locations he recruited new people to the Blackstar banner, but also alienated many other people... he was generally a divisive figure, people either loved him or hated him.
Affiliated Groups
- House Blackstar
Belted Family
- Former Squire to Sir Toda Tatso noh Minowara
- Man-at-arms?
Aliases
For a time, Silverwater had a kind of informal policy of people assassinated in court not using the same persona name for six months afterwards to make the thread of assassination more meaningful... Olok took this very seriously... after being ambushed-sphered at the original Winter War (Florida), Olok came up with a strategy of using different persona names during these activities, thus preserving his Olok persona. These are some of the alias personas he used:
- Tanaka Khan
- Olokk Blackstar
Notable Accomplishments
- Finished second in the first four Neverwinter Champion's tourneys, but never managed to win it.
- Master Hydra in 2006.
- Master Barbarian in 2007
- Pioneered the use of the Boogie Board Shield. May have been the first person in Amtgard to make one, at the very least the first in the southeast.
Caution
Olok Blackstar, aka Matthew Black was arrested and convicted for his role in a series of robberies in Georgia, and is currently serving a prison sentence.
